| 英文描述 | Elokomin fluke fever exists as part of the Salmon Poisoning complex, and also as a separate disease entity. Caused by NEORICKETTSIA ELOKOMINCA, carried by metacercaria of NANOPHYETUS SALMINCOLA infecting salmon and trout in the Pacific coast area. Following 5-12 day incubation a febrile response occurs, that may progress to hypothermia and death. Dx by endemic area, history, and signs. Complement fixation, serum neutralization, fluorescent antibody, and animal cross protection tests may also be used. The organisms may be seen in the cytoplasm of reticuloendothelial cells of lymphoid tissues. |
